The beautiful scenery of Oregon and the water flowing gracefully down Grande Ronde River are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. If you're coming from Lewiston it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, as you can see on the road map further down. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. that is pretty dry frequently. Of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain while July is frequently the driest month. Throughout the summertime at Grande Ronde River temperatures are regularly in the 80's.
