Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Oregon is often tougher than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. The scenic beauty of Oregon and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around     here you'll find a large number of good rivers. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. The Six Miles to confluence With Rogue River section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. The beauty of the Coast   Ranges is a great plus for this river. Briefly about the general area: Grave Creek is right by the Grayback Trail; lots of folks from Merlin come here. Now, you may feel that's a load but there's even more exciting things to do here in the Coast Ranges. The Coffee Pot Trail offers hiking at its best. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Grave Creek while nighttime lows are frequently in the 50's.
