  The scenic beauty of Oregon and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. If you're coming from Lewiston it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, as you can see on the road map further down. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The
    rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. The to Snake Lake section of Imnaha River in Wallowa County
is -blank- miles long and has been rated as a class III-IV section by American Whitewater. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with not too many other rivers for that. This is the only paddling section along Imnaha River.

you can go for a hike along the Cook Creek Trail, and a spree to Imnaha Rapids will fill your soul with great feelings. A delightful place in the neighborhood of Imnaha River is China Gulch, and do put some time aside to spend at Imnaha Rapids if you're here at Imnaha River. This river is a wonderful place to visit. On a great day at Imnaha River you can take a hike along the Howard Cutoff Trail, and this is a popular place for folks from Imnaha. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Imnaha River while night lows are regularly in the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Imnaha River.
