If you're coming from Klamath Falls it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The scenic beauty of Klamath County and the playfulness of the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so better not forget that many runs in this state |
are not easy. This section of Klamath River in Oregon is 17 miles long and it is classified as a class III-IV+ section by American Whitewater. This stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why
| not pack your sleeping bag too. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Briefly about the general area: At
Klamath River during the days of summer highs are in the 70's, and the nighttime is a tad chillier of course, ordinarily in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Klamath River
are in the 10's. The yearly rain here at Klamath River is about average. December is when you get the most snow here while July is commonly the driest month.
