Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good places. For all you camping people there     are campgrounds nearby. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. If you hurry you can run this stretch in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so go ahead and pack your camping stuff. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. The Bridge on FS 14 to SE Marmot Road section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. Whitewater paddling here in the Central Cascade Range is a great experience. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Oregon are often   more challenging than in other states, so don't forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. Briefly about the general area: Little Sandy River is close to Ainsworth State Park which is a pretty spot, and going for a hike on the Big Bend Trail is always a great adventure. These mountains rock, just explore all the cool stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range. You undeniably should check out Benson State Park if you're here at Little Sandy River, and people from Brightwood love to come here. This is such a great river. Go for a hike on the Arrah Wanna Trail.
