| are great attractions for lots of people. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. This stretch of McKenzie River in Lane County is 40.7 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-III section. better bring your camping gear along. The river winds through the Central Cascade Range and you get great scenery. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very
popular destination.
Briefly about the general area: Hiking along the Gold Hill Trail is tremendous fun, and of course, everyone loves Willamette National Forest. All year is a great time in the Central Cascade
Range if you like the outdoors. Going for a hike along the Pernot Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Cascadia State Park is worth visiting if you're at McKenzie River.
