This stretch of McKenzie River - South Fork is 6.2 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III-IV section of whitewater. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill     up quick. The nature scenery of Lane County and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and far. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The average Oregon whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. Whitewater paddling here in the Central Cascade Range is a great experience. This is not the only paddling section in this river system,   there are others too. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that.
