This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling places. The Dead
Horse Canyon Creek Bridge to Mollola River stretch of Mollala River - North Fork in Clackamas County is 6 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class V section. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're
willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Oregon are harder than the national norm, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. The Central Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system,
there are a few others too. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more.

Briefly about the general area:
Go for a hike on the Pine Crest Trail, and Milo McIver State Park is a great site. Now, you may feel that's a load but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Central Cascade Range. Don't leave Mollala River - North Fork without first going for a hike along the High Camp Trail. While you're here at Mollala River - North Fork you will meet lots of folks from close by Colton. A trip to Bonnie Lure State Park revitalizes the spirit.
