Oregon whitewater, Mollala River - South Fork Clackamas county, Copper Creek to Molalla River section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.   CLASS III-IV     6.5 miles   The Copper Creek to Molalla River stretch of Mollala River - South Fork is 6.5 miles long and has been rated as a class III-IV section by American Whitewater. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Oregon are often more challenging than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. If you're coming from Portland-Vancouver-Beaverton it's not a     long drive at all to the starting location, as you can see on the road map further down. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good places for that around here. The beautiful scenery of Clackamas County and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The campgrounds here at Mollala River - South Fork are pretty good. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Copper Creek to Molalla River   section is one of them. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's perfect for a one day trip. Whitewater paddling here in the Central Cascade Range is a great experience. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here.
