Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so don't forget that many runs in this state are not easy. There are some good hotels near the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Dorena Dam to Scaling Station Bridge section is one of them. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. Some people prefer whitewater rafting   and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling spots. On this section you do get some distance, it's perfect for a one day trip. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Briefly about the general area: During your tour to Row River you'll meet some people from Cottage Grove for sure; Jasper State Park is worth taking a look at. While you're here at Row River you can take a hike along the Rock Creek Trail, and don't leave without visiting Dexter State Park. This river is always fun. At Row River all through the summertime highs are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's.
