The beautiful scenery of Oregon and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The beautiful Southern Cascade Range scenery is an added bonus. This stretch is mid length, good
| for a one day paddling trip. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling rivers. Briefly about the general area: While you're here at Umpqua River - South you will meet lots of folks from
nearby Tiller. Hiking along the White Rock Trail is great fun; Umpqua River - South is right by the Brownie Creek Trail. A river like this is too good to miss. From a rainfall point of view Umpqua River - South is a reasonably
common location. The wettest month of the year is typically November, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is July.
