The Victor Road Bridge to Tygh Valley stretch of White River in Wasco County is 11.3 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II-III section. This stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your camping stuff. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night,   and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. When you're paddling down a Central Cascade Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. Briefly about the general area: A magnificent site to pop by near White River is Pine Hollow, and do take a hike on the Ball Point Trail. This place, the Central Cascade Range, has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. Don't leave White River without visiting White River Falls State Park, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the Pen Way Trail.
