CLASS IV-V     6 miles
  The wonderful Oregon scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream will make you feel great. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Oregon is often tougher than elsewhere, so don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. This stretch of Wiley Creek in Oregon is 6 miles long and is a class IV-V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river,
    but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area
you'll find lots of paddling spots. The starting location is a short drive from Albany-Lebanon, as you can see on the road map further down. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. The beautiful Central Cascade Range scenery is an added bonus. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This is a pretty decent length section, it's perfect for a one day trip.

Going for a hike along the Michigan Heights Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Here at Wiley Creek you'll most likely meet some people from Foster, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Snow Peak Mill City Trail. This is such a great river. Going to Cascadia State Park in close proximity to Wiley Creek is a good thing to do. For the duration of the long summer days, highs usually are in the 80's at Wiley Creek. During the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 40's, and overnight lows during the winter for Wiley Creek tend to be in the 30's.
