The beautiful scenery of Oregon and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Corvallis, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing     to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Oregon are often more challenging than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. The river winds through the Coast Ranges and you get great scenery. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Grand Ronde to Sheridan section is one of them. Since you're on this site   you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good places. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why not pack your camp stove too. Briefly about the general area: The smiling folks of Willamina like to hang out close by; Manhattan Beach State Park is a wonderful location to stop by.
