The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Pennsylvania are often more forgiving than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers in this state are not as hard as elsewhere. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. The     starting point is not too far from Williamsport, as you can see on the road map further down. The campgrounds here at Babb Creek are pretty good. The natural beauty of Tioga County and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so go ahead and pack   your camping stuff. Briefly about the general area: You must certainly pop by Devils Elbow while you're here at Babb Creek; on a magnificent day you can take a hike along the Tannery Hill Trail. A glorious site like Leonard Harrison State Park close to Babb Creek is too delightful to leave out; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Ski Sawmill is reasonably near. This river is a great place to visit. Babb Creek is a place with many visitors from Morris, and you might also want to pay a visit to Slide Hollow since you're here at Babb Creek. A journey to Hills Creek State Park when you're here at Babb Creek is a delightful idea, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Williams Trail.
