The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so don't forget that rivers in this state are less demanding. The wonderful Carbon County scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Black Creek will make you feel great. This stretch is mid length, suitable for an afternoon trip. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as   well. Briefly about the general area: If you're here, you might as well have a look at Brushy Hollow; Hickory Run State Park is a tremendous place. While you're here at Black Creek you will meet lots of folks from nearby Weatherly. Lehigh Gorge State Park is a nice site to pop by, and lovely scenery and glorious skiing is what you obtain at Jack Frost. Black Creek is right by the Boulder Field Trail. High temperatures at Black Creek through the warm months are in the 70's, and the night is a little chillier of course, regularly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Black Creek.
