Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Briefly about the general area: Dry Hollow is a great
spot to spend some time at, and do take a hike on the Short Trail. People from Moshannon love to come to Black Moshannon Creek, and you can have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Old Huckleberry Trail. This river is
so good. Lots of rainfall falls at Black Moshannon Creek. The wettest month of the year is frequently June, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is January.
