The wonderful Pennsylvania scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Bowman Creek beats anything. The starting point is not too far from Scranton—Wilkes-Barre, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have     reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. There's camping available near Bowman Creek. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your camping stuff.
