If you're coming from Reading it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, as you can see on the road map further down. The wonderful Pennsylvania scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Buck Run have people coming here. Briefly about the general area: Go for a hike on the Buzzard Trail, and you'll meet
a lot of people from Modena here. Good hiking is available along the Lenade Trail. Buck Run is a wet spot that gets a great deal of rain. During July this area sees the most rain while February is regularly the driest month.
During the long summer days at Buck Run temperatures are regularly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's with temperatures at Buck Run dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights.
