This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. This is a somewhat short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while will have     you coming back for more. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good places. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Pennsylvania are easier than the national norm, so keep in mind that many of the sections in this state are safe for beginners. Briefly about   the general area: A short trip to Canoe Ripple is always worthwhile, and you'll almost certainly meet some folks from Knox here. A large amount of rain falls at Canoe Creek. During the days of summer highs here at Canoe Creek reach the 80's while night lows are frequently in the 50's. Highs through the winter are typically in the 30's, and nighttime lows through the winter for Canoe Creek tend to be in the 10's.
