This section of Deer Creek is 3.5 miles long and is a class I-II(III) section of whitewater     according to American Whitewater. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This stretch is short so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. All through the months of summer highs here at Deer Creek reach the 80's while night lows are typically in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Deer Creek dip into the 10's.
