A stretch of this length does require some preparations, so make sure you pack enough food along with your camping gear. Blue Mountain is a magnificent site to do that, and Big Pocono State Park is a great place to go. Hiking along the Indian Trail is wonderful fun, and obviously, everyone loves Beltzville State Park. This is a great river. Take a hike on the Camelback Trail, and there are plenty of folks from Kunkletown here. The high level of precipitation makes Lehigh River a reasonably wet place. The month with most of the rain is August, and the driest month is February.
