The scenic beauty of Pennsylvania and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. There's camping available near Meadow Run. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the Pennsylvania Route 381 to Youghiogheny River section is one of them. The starting location is a reasonable drive     from Morgantown, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Pennsylvania is often easier than elsewhere, so keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. This stretch is mid length, good for a one day paddling trip. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more.
