  If you're coming from Williamsport it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, as you can see on the road map further down. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that lots of rivers in this state are good for beginners. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep
    you coming back for more. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This section of Miners Run is 1 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater
as a class IV-V section. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good places. This is an extremely short stretch so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. The wonderful Pennsylvania scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. The campgrounds here at Miners Run are pretty good.

Run you'll probably meet some people from Roaring Branch; Miners Run is close to Fourth Bottom Hollow which is without doubt worth a visit. Go for a hike on the Old Loggers Path, and good hiking is available along the Doe Run Trail. This river is a great place to visit. An average amount of precipitation falls at Miners Run. The month with most of the rain is June; January is the month with the least moisture. The warmest time of the year at Miners Run comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Miners Run dipping down into the 10's during winter nights.
