The starting point is not too far from DuBois, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you won't find a large number     of other places. The Gifford Run to West Branch Susquehanna stretch of Mosquito Creek is 9.8 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-III section. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. The scenic beauty of Pennsylvania and the water flowing gracefully down Mosquito Creek have people coming here. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the   Gifford Run to West Branch Susquehanna section is one of them. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. Briefly about the general area: What would a site like Mosquito Creek be without interesting nearby traits like Devils Elbow. Mosquito Creek is right by the Number Five Trail, and Dry Draft is another wonderful spot to take a look at close by. This is such a wonderful river. Hiking along the Number Eleven Trail is good fun, and Mosquito Creek is not far at all from Frenchville. Mosquito Creek is a wet location that gets a lot of precipitation.
