  The SR 2009 to Route 209 section of Raymondskill Creek is 1 miles long and it is classified as a class V+ section by American Whitewater. The natural beauty of Pennsylvania and the water flowing gracefully down Raymondskill Creek beats anything. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from East Stroudsburg, if you're not familiar
    with the area there's a road map further down the page. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Pennsylvania are often easier than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that lots
of rivers in this state are good for beginners. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. The campgrounds here at Raymondskill Creek are pretty good. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too.

You'll meet a lot of folks from Milford here, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Bald Hill Trail. Delaware National Scenic River is one of the destinations right next door to Raymondskill Creek that are delightful to go to. Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area is a perfect spot to pop by, and no need to travel far to visit out of the ordinary stuff like The Cliff. Raymondskill Falls is a wonderful local attraction, and if the weather is magnificent, you can go for a hike along the Lost Cabin Trail. Summertime at Raymondskill Creek arrives with high temperatures in the 70's.
