about the general area: The Old '56' Trail is a good hiking trail close to Roaring Fork; this is a popular location for people from Windber. There is a fine hiking trail in the vicinity of Roaring Fork called the Wolf
Rocks Trail. Roaring Fork gets a typical amount of annual rainfall. Most of the rain falls all through July while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Through the summer at Roaring Fork highs are
regularly in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Roaring Fork temperatures plunge to the 10's.
