Don't leave Shade Creek without first going for a hike along the Old '56' Trail. High temperatures at Shade Creek through the long summer days are in the 80's; the nighttime is a little chillier of course, frequently in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are ordinarily in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Shade Creek. Shade Creek is a good spot of typical rainfall. July is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is February.
