Says Tammy Cleveland The T431 to Lambs Creek Recreation Area stretch of Tioga River in Pennsylvania is 23.5 miles long and it is classified as a class I-III section by American Whitewater. The wonderful Pennsylvania scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and     paddle. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so go ahead and pack your sleeping bag. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Pennsylvania are easier than the national norm, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many runs in this state are very easy. The starting location is a short drive from Williamsport, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. There are plenty   of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. Briefly about the general area: Don't leave Tioga River without going to Hills Creek State Park, and close by you stumble on the Fisher Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail. You'll meet a lot of folks from Covington here, and close by you find pleasant sites like Copp Hollow. Lots of fun awaits you along this river.
