Puerto Rico whitewater, Areciebo River Utuado county, Dos Bocas to Vado section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.   CLASS II-III     6.25 miles   The Dos Bocas to Vado stretch of Areciebo River in Utuado County is 6.25 miles long and it is classified as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. The put-in location is a short drive from Utuado, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.     This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, you can easily run it on an afternoon. The scenic beauty of Utuado County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Briefly about the general area: The friendly folks of Bajadero like to hang out close by, and during your stay here do visit close by Playa Mar Chiquita. Throughout the summer months highs here at Areciebo River reach the 80's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 70's.   High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 80's while Areciebo River overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 60's. All the water falling down from the sky makes Areciebo River a wet site. Of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and July is when it's the driest.
