  The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Brevard, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The Mill Creek to Dug Mountain Access section of Eastatoe Creek - Lower Gorge in Pickens County is 2 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-III(V) section of whitewater. There's camping available near Eastatoe Creek - Lower Gorge. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure
    to keep you coming back for more. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The wonderful South Carolina
scenery and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. This is a bit of a short stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times.

Forests is a wonderful location, and you can go for a hike on the Foothills Trail. Cove Gap is a nice location to spend some time at, and locations like Keowee-Toxaway State Park are great to stop by. Coming to this river is always a good idea. If you're stopping by Eastatoe Creek - Lower Gorge from Sunset, you won't be the only one. Eastatoe Creek - Lower Gorge gets a good deal of water. For the duration of March this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is April. For the period of the warm days of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Eastatoe Creek - Lower Gorge.
