Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature are     great attractions for lots of people. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. This section is quite short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. The nature scenery of Cherokee County and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Briefly about the general   area: Kings Mountain State Park is a good place to stretch your legs a bit, and during your visit here you'll meet some people from Smyrna for sure. Places like Crowders Mountain State Park are pleasant to pop by. For the duration of the warmest time of the year, highs regularly are in the 80's at Kings Branch. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Kings Branch are in the 20's. The high level of rainfall makes Kings Branch a quite wet spot. The wettest month of the year is usually March, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month is April.
