The Highway 11 to Little River stretch of Oconee Creek is 1 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-III section. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and     kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers in this state are not as hard as elsewhere. There's camping available near Oconee Creek. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of places for that. The put-in location is a short drive from Seneca, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. This section is very short so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. The Highway 11 to Little River stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd   better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Briefly about the general area: Here at Oconee Creek you'll most likely meet some people from West Union. You undeniably should stop at Francis Marion-Sumter National Forests since you're here at Oconee Creek, and nearby you find the Foothills Trail which is a good hiking trail. This river is a wonderful place to visit. A tour to Oconee State Park when you're here at Oconee Creek is never a bad idea, and there is a perfect hiking trail nearby called the Winding Stairs Trail. Oconee Creek gets a good deal of water.
