Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Tennessee are harder than the national norm, so better not forget that many runs in this state are not easy. The Seventh Day Adventist Compound to Roaring Creek section of Brush Creek in Rhea County is 1.3 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class V+ section. This section     is very short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. The nature scenery of Rhea County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water attract people from near and far. There's camping available near Brush Creek. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good places. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in   this river system, there are a few others too. Whitewater paddling here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains is a great experience. Briefly about the general area: Places like Harrison Bay State Park are magnificent to stop at, and if you're visiting from Graysville, you won't be the only one. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Near Brush Creek you find the Laurel-Snow Trail which is a delightful hiking trail. Park Fall Creek Falls State Park is a stunning spot any time of year; why not stop by Hurricane Point also since you're here. A tremendous location near Brush Creek is Polecat Hollow.
