The wonderful Tennessee scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Harriman. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so better     not forget that many runs in this state are not easy. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. On this section you do get some distance, it's perfect for a one day trip. The wild scenery of the Cumberland Plateau Mountains is great. This river system is full of great paddling stretches, the Barnett Bridge to Jett Bridge stretch is just one of them.
