  The beautiful scenery of Fentress County and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. The put-in location is a short drive from Crossville. This stretch of Clear Fork - North Prong in Fentress County is -blank- miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III-IV section of whitewater. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of spots for that. The average Tennessee
    whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. For all you camping people there are
campgrounds nearby. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. There are so many sections to paddle in this river system, the Old Sunbright to Banner Springs section is just one of many. The wild scenery of the Cumberland Plateau Mountains is  
great.

December is the wettest month with most rain, and October is when it's the driest. Summertime highs at Clear Fork - North Prong generally tend to be in the 80's.
