  The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Crossville. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The Banner Springs to Gatewood Bridge
    stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river system. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.
Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling spots. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. The river winds through the Cumberland Plateau Mountains and you get great scenery. The scenic beauty of Morgan Fentress County and the cool fresh water have people coming here. This stretch of Clear Fork - North Prong is 7 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a  
class I-II section.

If the weather is wonderful here at Clear Fork - North Prong, you can go for a hike along the Ridge Trail, and at Clear Fork - North Prong you always meet someone from Deer Lodge. You absolutely ought to have a thing about the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. On a nice day at Clear Fork - North Prong you can take a hike along the Lake View Trail, and Underwood Neck is not far at all. This river has so much to offer. All through the warmest time of the year highs here at Clear Fork - North Prong reach the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 60's.
