Tennessee whitewater, Daddy's Creek

Cumberland county, Sutton Dam to Antioch Bridge section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.

CLASS I-II     13 miles
I have 2 sons 11 and 14. Interested in white water rafting. What do you suggest? Says Terri

The nature scenery of Tennessee and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Tennessee tend to be more challenging than the national average, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. Getting your
paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The Cumberland Plateau Mountains scenery is wonderful.
This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your sleeping bag. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you donít have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. The Sutton Dam to Antioch Bridge section of Daddy's Creek in Cumberland County is 13 miles long and has been determined by American
Whitewater to be a class I-II section. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number of paddling spots. The put-in location is a short drive from Crossville, as you can see on the road map further down.

Briefly about the general area:
There are plenty of folks from Crab Orchard here at Daddy's Creek, and since you're here why not pop by Keating Hollow. Just can't get enough of the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Little Horseshoe Bend is something you shouldn't miss since you're here at Daddy's Creek. A visit to Cumberland Mountain State Park revives the spirit, and Horseshoe Bend is an interesting thing to spot if you're here.
