The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Tennessee are often tougher than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. Briefly about the general area: You'll meet a lot of people
from Wartburg here, and visiting Frozen Head State Park is a splendid thing to do. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the Cumberland Plateau Mountains has to offer. If time allows, Obed Wild &
Scenic River is a national park worth stopping at. The high level of rain makes Emory River a pretty wet place. Of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain while October is usually the driest month.
