The natural beauty of Tennessee and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Harriman, as you can see on the road map further down.     The beauty of the Cumberland Plateau Mountains is a great plus for this river. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. The average Tennessee   whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy. Briefly about the general area: Put some time aside to spend at Laurel Falls if you're here at Fall Creek. Buzzard Point is reasonably near Fall Creek; a spree to Sulphur Spring will fill your soul with good feelings. This river has so much to offer. The wonderful folks of Crab Orchard like to hang out nearby, and what would a site like Fall Creek be without out of the ordinary close by traits like Negro Jumpoff.
