You might be into whitewater     rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. The beautiful Great Smoky Mountains scenery is an added bonus. This section is very short so better bring some good walking shoes. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near. The average whitewater   rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so better not forget that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. Briefly about the general area: Fort Loudoun State Park is worth going to if you're at Laurel Creek, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Cow Camp Trail. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Great Smoky Mountains. Put some time aside to spend at Bald River Falls if you're here at Laurel Creek.
