The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Tennessee are often more challenging than in other states, so don't forget that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of places for that. The starting point is not too far from Sevierville, as
    you can see on the road map further down. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. Lodging is available near the river, and if you make reservations in advance
you're all set. The Highway 73 to Richardson Cove stretch of Little Pigeon River - Middle Prong is 9.2 miles long and has been rated as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. There are so many sections to paddle in this river system, the Highway 73 to Richardson Cove section is just one of many. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground.
