This stretch of Obey River - East Fork is 10 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III-V+ section. If you're coming from Crossville it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way     this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. This stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your camping stuff. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The campgrounds here at Obey River - East Fork are pretty good. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here.
