The Dirt road off Jewitt Road to Piney River stretch of Soak Creek is -blank- miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III-IV section. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find     lots of paddling places. This is the only paddling section along Soak Creek. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Tennessee are often tougher than in other states, so don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. Whitewater paddling here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains is a great experience. If the weather is magnificent here at Soak Creek, you can go for a hike along the Fooshee Pass Trail; you could always explore Long Hollow.
