  If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many runs in this state are not easy. The put-in location is a short drive from Chattanooga, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you wonít get lost. There arenít any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no
    problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. The beautiful scenery of
Marion County and the water flowing gracefully down South Suck Creek will make you feel great. The Pipeline to Suck Confluence stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. The Pipeline to Suck Confluence stretch of South Suck Creek in Tennessee is 4 miles long and has been rated as a class IV-V+ section by American Whitewater.  
The beautiful Cumberland Plateau Mountains scenery is an added bonus. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. On this section you do get some distance, you can easily run it on an afternoon.

Briefly about the general area:
A glorious place to stop by in the vicinity of South Suck Creek is Ketner Gap, and you're sure to come across some cheerful folks from Whiteside here. Man, is there a load of exciting things to do in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Johnson Spring, and you can have a glorious hiking adventure along the Skyuka Trail.
