Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Tennessee is often tougher than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. The river winds through the Great Smoky Mountains and you get great scenery. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good rivers for that around here. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This stretch is   mid length, it's perfect for a one day trip. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Great Smoky Mountains.
