If you're coming from Crossville it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, as you can see on the road map further down. The beautiful scenery of Tennessee and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The nearby hotels are a bit away     from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Tennessee are harder than the national norm, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. There's camping available near White's Creek. When you're paddling down a Cumberland Plateau Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near. No matter   if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. Briefly about the general area: Cumberland Mountain State Park is a good place to stretch your legs a bit; Ray Falls is always fun to check out. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the Cumberland Plateau Mountains has to offer. Lick Hollow is a fine spot to spend some time at, and you'll possibly meet some people from Grandview here. This river is always fun. If you're here at White's Creek, do take a visit to Hank Point, and do take a hike on the Fooshee Pass Trail.
