The Possum Trot/Alloway Road to Route 27 section of White's Creek is 6 miles long and has been rated as a class III section by American Whitewater. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Tennessee are often more challenging     than in other states, so better not forget that the rivers in this state are less manageable. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This section is long enough to enjoy   a good non stop paddle, suitable for an afternoon trip. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good rivers for that around here. Briefly about the general area: A cool spot to pop by in the vicinity of White's Creek is Kirklen Bottom; a short tour to Laurel Falls is always worthwhile. Having a delightful time in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains is simple. Here at White's Creek there are plenty of people from Grandview, and Roddy Spring is an inspiring location to stop at while here. A river like this is too good to miss.
