Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Texas tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so better not forget that quite a few of the sections in this state are pretty easy. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Port Sullivan North of FM 485 section is one of them.     You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This stretch of Brazos River in Texas is 1.5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class I-II section. The nature scenery of Texas and the cool fresh water attract people from near and far. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a pretty small number of paddling spots. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. This is a short paddling stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times.
