Texas whitewater, Little Blanco River Blanco Comal Hays county, FM 32 to Blanco River section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.   CLASS II-III     6 miles   We ran the little blanco after big rainfall it was very nice. A few old dams you have to look out for one nice narrow drop that can flip you if your not paying attention. I guess I was not paying attention. (LOL). If the water level is high enough, it's worth the trip.   Once you hit the Big Blanco it just gets better.   Bring lots of water or a Water Treatment Pump if you go in the summer. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Texas tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so better not forget that many of the sections in this state are safe for beginners. The put-in is not too far from San Antonio, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The FM 32 to Blanco River stretch of Little Blanco River is 6 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-III section. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far   and near. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. This stretch is mid length, it's perfect for a one day trip. The FM 32 to Blanco River section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Briefly about the general area: Since you're here at Little Blanco River why not pop by The Narrows, and Blanco State Park is both great and beautiful.
